Founded in 2015, Swingy emerged from a heartfelt mission: to transform how children interact with digital devices. Our story is one of love, concern, and the relentless pursuit of a better future for our kids.
The Spark of Inspiration
Picture this: two young parents, hearts filled with love for their little ones, yet eyes creased with worry. That was us. We watched in awe as our toddlers, barely able to string sentences together, effortlessly navigated tablets and smartphones. It was a bittersweet moment – pride in their quick learning, mixed with a gnawing concern about excessive screen time.
Every evening became a battlefield. “Just five more minutes,” they’d plead, eyes glued to glowing screens. We’d reluctantly agree, guilt weighing heavily on our shoulders. We knew digital literacy was crucial, but at what cost? The sight of our children, hunched over devices for hours, tugged at our heartstrings. We knew something had to change.

As fate would have it, innovation runs in our family. My mother, a dedicated doctor, and her husband, a skilled orthopedic surgeon, were brainstorming ways to help patients with back pain. Their idea? A curved walking accessory designed to improve balance and strengthen core muscles.
During a lively family dinner, as we shared our respective challenges, a lightbulb moment occurred. What if we could combine the engaging power of digital games with physical activity? The excitement in the room was palpable as we connected the dots.
Birth of Swingy
With trembling hands and racing hearts, we transformed the walking accessory into a balance board. We connected it wirelessly to mobile devices and infused it with irresistible fun for children. After countless late nights, coffee-fueled brainstorming sessions, and more than a few failed prototypes, Swingy was born.
The first time we saw our children leap onto the Swingy board, eyes shining with excitement as they controlled their favorite game through movement, we knew we’d created something special. Gone was the guilt, replaced by joy and pride. We weren’t just glad our children were playing digital games – we were thrilled!
